Eyeglass Donation

Following our monthly meeting on Monday 9/23/19, our group organized eyeglasses collected by one of our previous members from around our Upstate Medical University campus. In total, 178 glasses were collected, along with 37 pairs of sunglasses, a couple of safety glasses, and polarizing clip ons. The collection was dropped off at the local Walmart in East Syracuse, where it will be packaged and delivered to the New Jersey Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center. From there, requests for eyeglasses made by Lions and others are fulfilled. Thank you to everyone who contributed! We will continue collecting, so keep an eye out for our boxes around your area!
